FAQ

What are Incurin side effects or adverse reactions

Other common side effects are changes in appetite, vomiting, swollen vulva, and increased thirst. Withdraw the medication in case of serious reactions or if side effects are persistent.

What is Incurin?

Incurin is indicated for the treatment of urinary incontinence in spayed female dogs due to a weak urethral sphincter mechanism.

How does Incurin work?

Incurin works the same way as natural estrogen: its action increases the tone at the level of the urethral sphincter to prevent the phenomenon of urine leakage.

Can Incurin be given with other medications?

Always consult with a veterinarian before administering Incurin with other drugs. Some medications will have interactions with estriol and might either inactivate its effect or even cause side effects.

Can Incurin be used in pregnant or lactating dogs?

The safety of Incurin in pregnant or lactating bitches has not been established. Use with caution and under veterinary advice only.

How much time does it take to show some effects on my dog?

Time frames for easing can also vary, however, some dogs may get improvement regarding incontinence within a few days of being on the medicine.

How is the storage of Incurin supposed to be?

Incurin does not require refrigeration, but it is best stored at room temperature out of moisture and heat. It has to be kept beyond the reach of children as well as other animals.

What if I miss a dose?

Give ASAP if the dose is missed. If it is near time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dosing schedule. Do not give your dog a double dose to make up for the forgotten dose of Incurin.

How will I know Incurin has worked for my dog?

Note a reduction in urinary incontinence with you and more broadly an improvement in urinary continence generally. Follow-up visits to your veterinarian regularly are important to ensure Incurin is managing your dog's disease adequately.

Are special dietary bans required when administering Incurin to my dog?

No special dietary prohibition orders. Only a balanced diet will help your dog to be in good health. A healthy diet is the roadway to general good health. Your veterinarian may recommend more dietary advice depending on the condition of your dog.
