Fluconazole Tablets, 200 mg

Fluconazole is an antifungal medication used to treat various fungal infections, including yeast infections. It is frequently prescribed for skin infections and severe fungal infections of the lungs and other organs that may result from inhaling fungus found in contaminated soil. Fluconazole is commonly used in pets that have not responded well to other types of antifungal drugs. It also effectively treats difficult-to-treat fungal infections, such as those affecting internal organs and systemic fungal infections like cryptococcal meningitis, blastomycosis, and histoplasmosis. It may also be prescribed for superficial skin infections, such as candidiasis or ringworm.

Possible Side Effects

The most commonly reported side effect is the loss of appetite. Other less frequent side effects could include vomiting, jaundice (yellowing of gums, skin, eyes), lethargy, or skin rash.

Storage Instructions

Fluconazole tablets should be stored at temperatures less than 86°F in tight containers.
